A few years before, according to the law 1/2007, of March 16, which regulates research in cell reprogramming for exclusively therapeutic purposes, cloning techniques could only be used for therapeutic or research purposes. It was not allowed to use these techniques to constitute human embryos. Fortunately, nowadays this is totally legal.
